ViaRewind is a plugin that extends ViaVersion and ViaBackwards to support older Minecraft clients on newer servers. It enables players using Minecraft 1.7.x and 1.8.x to join and play on servers running much newer versions, converting server packets into formats those old clients can understand.

  • Allows Minecraft 1.7.x and 1.8.x clients to connect to servers running versions up to 1.21.4.

Installation

  1. Install ViaVersion plugin into your plugins folder.
  2. Install ViaBackwards plugin into your plugins folder.
  3. Place the ViaRewind plugin into your plugins folder.
  4. Ensure you have Java 8 or later installed.
  5. Restart your server.

Compatibility

This plugin requires ViaVersion and ViaBackwards to function. It supports clients from Minecraft 1.7.x and 1.8.x connecting to servers running up to version 1.21.4.
